About this viz: This bar chart highlights California Teachers Study participant responses to questions about sleep disorders asked on Questionnaire 6 (2017-2019). The bar chart is ordered so that the most common sleep issues appear first. As we see in the viz, the most commonly reported problem was having difficulty falling asleep followed by feeling fatigued during the day.
This bar chart was generated using answers to a dichotomous survey question where the response options were "yes" or "no". The VOTM code contains details about how to turn yes/no survey responses into a total rate for evaluating common conditions. This type of chart can be useful for any survey data containing yes/no answers as it provides an easily understood visual of the percentage of “yes” responders to a series of related questions.
